Duties :
Under the supervision of a sergeant, the duties of the position include but are
not limited to: dusting and cleaning desks, cabinets, counters, tables,
equipment, furniture and windows, emptying and cleaning waste receptacles,
vacuuming carpet and rugs, sweeping and mopping, stripping and waxing floors as
needed. Is responsible for cleaning sinks, replenishing dispensers for soap,
paper towels, toilet tissue and toilet seat liners, cleans and disinfects
urinals and toilet bowls, cleans employees' work areas, break room, and
restrooms. Will maintain the cleanliness of the grounds, removing debris and
weeds from planting area's and the parking lot, emptying outside garbage bins,
cleaning sidewalks, and washing state vehicles to maintain a professional
image. Also assist the automotive technician with minor automotive
adjustments, repairs and maintenance, and transporting state vehicles to repair
facilities.
Desirable qualifications : Exceptional interpersonal and
communication skills, excellent attendance, excellent work ethic, good working
knowledge of methods and equipment used in maintenance and custodial work.
