Job Summary Performs basic duties required to operate and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment and systems within and throughout facility buildings and grounds.
** LIMITED TERM - 72 weeks**
MINIMUM POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education/Licensure:
High school graduate or equivalent. AS degree in mechanical, electrical technology or equivalent education is preferred.
Must have a valid CA driver's license and be insurable per SH Risk Management.
Knowledge:
Basic knowledge of stationary and portable shop tools is required. Understanding of refrigeration, hydraulics, computers, and basic electrical test equipment is desired. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical manuals is desired.
Experience:
Prefer prior experience with troubleshooting and repair of mechanical systems. Prefer health care facility experience.
Skills:
Works with electrical, mechanical and other complex systems. Must be able to work safely and complete tasks without supervision.
