Providence is calling a full time, day shift Registered Nurse Ambulatory Surgery Center to Providence Saint John Health Center Santa Monica, CA
In this position you will:
Under the general supervision of the Ambulatory Surgery Director, provide 100% clinical service by providing direct patient care for patients undergoing surgical intervention for a variety of surgical specialties with the intent of returning said patients to a homeostatic level.
Responsible for preoperative patient preparation, Phase I and Phase II recovery.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Current unrestricted RN license in the State of California
Current CPR certification .
Current PALS certification .
Current ACLS certification
Prior experience in a PACU, ASU, or ASC
Knowledge of perioperative care of patients undergoing a variety of surgical procedures including ophthalmology, ENT, general, and GI/GU.
Ability to prioritize, organize and coordinate patient care.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
BSN
Pediatric experience
