Under the supervision of a registered nurse, the operating room transporter will primarily be responsible for transporting patients to and from the OR, as well as transporting equipment and supplies. Will assist with other nursing personnel, as directed under the supervision of Nursing. Assist in the attainment of these goals and objectives. Maintains required competency and technical skill levels as required by the position. Participates in the establishment of standards of practice and Performance Improvement methods to monitor achievement. Must be willing to work 6:00am to 2:30pm or 6:30am to 3:00pm, Monday through Friday. Education: High School graduate or equivalent. Possesses current CPR certification..

Experience: Prior experience preferred but not required.

Skills : Verbal ability to present information to the team leader. Ability to function in stressful situation . Willing to accept responsibility and accountability to his/her unit required.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods, walk at least 6 hours per day, lift/carry 50 pounds, hear alarms and telephone rings, distinguish colors, perform repetitive tasks/motions, have good eye/hand/foot coordination, and have clear vision at 20 or more feet with or without vision corrective device.
