Rather than focusing on standardized nutrition products, we create customized ingredient blends and management programs to fit each situation. Operate all mixing and batching equipment to mix ingredients according to company's feed formulations. This includes the operation of ingredient augers, mixing scale, mixer, liquid pumps, forklift, and distribution equipment. Good housekeeping to be maintained at all times. Work in a safe and efficient manner consistent with company rules and regulations. (Pellet Mill & Packaging & Weighing).

WORK DUTIES & REQUIRED SKILLS:

Inspect bagging bins, legs or flows, hopper scales and mixers for cleanliness, safety, and mechanical problems prior to batching ingredients.

Obtain and review mixing record for proper ingredients and weights. Sign mixing record upon completion of mix.

Follow pre-sequenced production schedule to batch and mix all feeds in accordance with the company's established quality control procedures. Requires the ability to learn and follow Current Good Manufacturing Practices including sequencing, flushing and clean-out (both regular and special clean-out).

Add all pre-staged micro ingredients and macro ingredients to mixer.

Safely operate and adjust the above mentioned equipment, starting and stopping, in a manner so as not to harm the equipment, yourself or your fellow employees. Follow all established plant safety rules, including but not limited to, wearing proper clothing, eye protection, ear protection, and respiratory equipment.

Work in the most effective and efficient manner at all times. Properly mix all runs in less or equal to the targeted hours of the schedule.

Keep work areas and storage locations clean, well swept and neat in appearance.

Provide training to new employees and lesser skilled employees when the time arises for them to learn the Blending position.

High School Education or Equivalent

At least six months feed production experience required.

Satisfactorily complete introductory period per company policy, including hazardous materials training, and all other safety and operational training.

Lifting - As required to complete assignments; not to exceed 80 lb.

Driving - As required to complete assignments. Operation of forklift required.

Bending - As required to complete assignments.

Climbing - As required to complete assignments.

Carrying - As required to complete assignments.

Twisting - As required to complete assignments.

Confined Spaces - As required to complete assignments.
