Customer Information and Risk Management (CIRM) Team is seeking a credit risk consultant in Account Management and Portfolio Analytics. CIRM supports Regional Business Banking, Practice Finance and SBA (Small Business Administration) lending and is responsible for underwriting and portfolio analysis, modeling, Basel, and loss forecasting. The team pioneered credit scoring in small business lending and has been focusing on innovations in credit risk management in Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) lending. The Credit Portfolio Consultant will be responsible for analyzing underwriting and account management strategies; evaluating and sizing opportunities for improving efficiency and growth; managing credit exposure risk at product and customer level; managing delinquent and high risk balances while growing the business.

Primary job duties of Credit Portfolio Consultant include:

Collaborate with our Business Banking and SBA partners to identify, analyze, and provide solution to business problems Review and analyze current credit policies and recommend modifications for improvement Provide support to business bankers and underwriters on daily basis to answer their questions related to credit risk scoring Conduct investigative steps to fully identify early charge-off or delinquencies, research product information, credit risk score attributes and resolving complex problems and inquiries Produce performance monitoring and benchmarks regarding growth, delinquency, losses, recovery and overall profitability

Required Qualifications

2+ years of risk experience; or a Master's degree or higher in a quantitative field such as statistics, economics, operations research, mathematics, engineering, or business A BS/BA degree or higher

Desired Qualifications

2+ years of commercial underwriting experience A Master's degree or higher in a quantitative discipline Knowledge and understanding of business banking compliance controls, risk management, and loss prevention Ability to work effectively in virtual environment where key team members and partners are in various time zones and locations Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy Exposure to Wells Fargo BLAST (Business Lending and Sales Tracking) system Exposure to Wells Fargo AFS (Automated Financial Systems) SQL or SAS experience
