Job Responsibilities 1. Receives Hospital guests, ascertains needs and directs guests appropriately. 2. Courteously answers the telephone and takes accurate messages. 3. Answers routine questions regarding departmental policies, operations and procedures. 4. Directs guests to appropriate office or departmental area. 5. Provides necessary forms to incoming guests and courteously assists guest with completion. 6. Provides administrative support to the Intake Department. 7. Promotes a positive working environment and guest relations. 8. Assumes and/or performs additional duties as requested. 9. Requirements High school graduate or equivalent preferred. Receptionist or Administrative Assistant experience preferred medical environment experience, knowledge of HIPAA and privacy laws highly preferred. Skills: Demonstrated leadership, communication, and verbal skills. Physical Requirements: Work is physically and mentally demanding. Extensive walking, standing, sitting and climbing stairs. Must be able to lift or move over fifty (50) pounds. Other: Performs other duties as may be assigned by the Director of Admission and UR. Must have strong interpersonal skills being able to relate to the public, physicians, patients, referral sources and staff in a professional and effective manner. Must possess the following skills: excellent organizational, leadership, dependability, initiative, strong communication and a neat professional personal appearance.
