Specific Job Duties: Performs routine security throughout the building and grounds. Provides a safe, secure, and aesthetically pleasing environment for staff, visitors, and physicians through professional and accepted practices. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. Performs other duties as assigned. Ability to respond quickly and calmly under stressful or emergency situations. Accurately obtains patient data and communicates to Nursing staff. Provides courier services to post office, bank and physician offices as needed.

Specific Requirements/Qualifications : Education : A minimum of a High School education or equivalent. A medical assistant or basic/intermediate EMT preferred. BCLS certification required. One Year of experience on industrial security force or equivalent preferred. Experience on hospital security force is preferred. Must have a valid driver's license and be insurable. Must be able to stand, walk, squat or bend and move about freely a considerable amount of time and be able to routinely lift and or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Must be able to speak and understand the English language. Must be able to tolerate the mental and emotional stress the position demands. Must be in good general physical and mental health. Must possess sight/hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately so that the requirements of this position are fully met. Must be able to function independently, have flexibility, personal integrity, and be able to work effectively with attending and resident physicians, hospital personnel, and support agencies.
