Job Summary: The Heavenly Revenue Audit Supervisor is responsible for the leadership, oversight, and compliance of Revenue Audit, Vault Management, and Internal Metrics Reporting for Heavenly. This position is based at Heavenly and reports to the Tahoe Regional Revenue Accounting Manager. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee audit staff functions, ensure audit of revenue transactions is performed timely and accurately, review and track completion of audit packs and follow up on missing items.
  • Assist in hiring and training seasonal auditors, assist in coaching opportunities, manage auditors schedules in the parameters of the accounting department's guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of various systems and processes related to all areas of responsibility.
  • Identify areas for process improvement including improvement of controls to ensure company policies are being followed.
  • Inspire trust and establish strong relationships with all stakeholders including the Heavenly Finance Team, Heavenly Management Team, Product Management, Information Technology, and Revenue Accounting Teams.
  • Leverage your relationships to influence key business decisions. Maintain a high level of communication with all stakeholders.
  • Work with operations: identify training issues and provide training to revenue locations, ensure that SOX controls are in place and followed, contact locations that have not closed timely, and identify others areas of weakness in operational processes that could lead to concerns over accuracy and controls of revenue recognition.
  • Foster and develop a culture of teamwork, employee development and accountability. Educate business stakeholders on best practices.
  • Work with Product Management to ensure products are set up accurately.
  • Perform re-audits of staff work timely.
  • Work with internal and external auditors on data requests as necessary.
  • Demonstrate an unyielding passion for the guest experience, culture, mission and vision. Lead by example and inspire others to follow.
  • Other projects/tasks as assigned.

 

Job Qualifications:

  • Education: Finance/Accounting degree.
  • Work experience: 3 Years Accounting Experience; 12 months in current position preferred (for internals).
  • Supervisory experience: 1 year supervisory experience preferred.
  • Understanding and applicability of SOX and GAAP.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Technical acumen to understand impacts of business systems.
  • Process-oriented.
  • Experience with revenue recognition principles.
  • Computer skills: Advanced MS Office knowledge; knowledge of RPOS, Infogenesis, and Peoplesoft a plus.
  • Other requirements: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to prioritize tasks, detail oriented, ability to maintain a positive work environment.
