Time Warner Cable SportsChannel currently seeks a Sr Producer, Remote Programming. Below please find a brief description of the essential duties and responsibilities required to function successfully in this position.

Summary of Role:
The Senior Producer, Remote Programming will be responsible for executing the production process
for live television programs from locations. Leading the remote team in the execution of our sports programing; Working with the senior production staff, talent and remote colleagues to maintain and execute the networks vision. He/she will work with staff to develop short and long range coverage plans and assigning stories to sideline reporters. Oversee the production of final reports and making decisions related to sports content, including reviewing the work of others. Will also be responsible to work with staff with regard to logistics and coordination, as well as studio integration. Will help post-produce special remote sports programming; Must be willing to work flexible schedule including Saturdays, Sundays, nights and weekends; Will help identify additional production team members.

Essential Job Functions:Produces remote events, making decisions on announcer and sideline reporter content, video/audio, graphics, and timing to construct the show.Creates accurately timed shows that meet format requirements within established deadlines.Work with General Manager and staff to craft look and feel of broadcasts.Writes stories for talent as required.Coordinates with remote graphic artists and operators in developing the graphics for the show.Composes or edits show scripts to meet management or other requirements.Coordinates various aspects of production with studio team, such as audio work, music, timing, camera work, and script writing.Performs video editing functions to support content creation for assigned shows as well show fixes.Gives instructions to staff to schedule broadcast and to develop and coordinate details to obtain desired production in coordination with coordinating producer(s).Reviews production to ensure objectives are attained.Views taped programming to select scenes to be used for promotional purposes, using video equipment.Schedule all remote production staff and talent to support remote eventsProvides feedback to all remote production staff as neededProduces and writes special reports as directed by senior production management.Responsible for accuracy of facts in the on-air product.Exceptional knowledge of Sports Market – High School, College and ProfessionalMaintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that works well with co-workers, supervisors and customers, consistent with the company’s workplace culture.

Position Requirements: Knowledge & Experience (Technical Responsibilities)Able to perform well under pressure, manage breaking news situations, meet strict deadlines, and respond quickly to changes.Proven track record of editing and writing stories from information collected by reporters and otherProven track record of coordinating the activities of writers, show directors, managers, and other personnel throughout the production process.Proven track record with research production topics using the internet, video archives, and other informational sources.Review recordings to ensure conformance to production and broadcast standards.Monitor post-production processes to ensure accurate completion of details.Conduct meetings with staff to discuss production progress and to ensure production objectives are attained.Perform administrative duties, such as preparing operational reports, distributing rehearsal call sheets and script copies, and arranging for rehearsal quarters.Resolve personnel problems that arise during the production process by acting as liaison between dissenting parties when necessary.Must have strong knowledge and understanding of the High School, College and Professional sports.Television sports/news producing experience required.Thorough knowledge of operation and office policies and procedures. Must have ability to handle various tasks simultaneously, organize, prioritize, make decisions and work efficiently and effectively under deadlines.Must oversee remote staff to insure proper maintenance for remote production equipment.Must submit time cards for remote production crew.
Formal Education & Certification:Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, or related field, or equivalent work experience is a plus but priority will be given to experience.13+ years television sports/news production experience.Experience with non-linear editing required.Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro CC preferred
Travel Requirements:Travel depending upon project need. Should expect to produce 50 out of market events per year. Valid passport preferred

Work Conditions: Sitting and/or standing for extended periods of time.Long days may be required to meet deadlines.Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and to handle other computer components.On-call availability for 24x7, 365 days per year.
