Description: Valvoline Instant Oil Change is looking for an Assistant Manager who lives in Los Angeles. No automotive industry experience is necessary--we are looking for ambitious individuals with a strong desire to learn and be great at what they do.
As an Assistant Manager, you will be trained to perform all of the duties expected of a Store Manager in the hopes that someday in the near future you will be selected to run a store of your own. These duties include: taking great care of our customers, performing preventative maintenance services on vehicles, scheduling, inventory, paperwork, recommending parts and services to customers, as well as employee and team development.
We expect our Assistant Managers to:
-Be comfortable working in varying temperature conditions
-Have a high sense of urgency and lots of energy
-Enjoy hands-on work
-Basic computer skills
-Be able to lift up to 50 pounds
-Have full body mobility: be able to twist, turn, bend at the waist, squat, and go up and down stairs
-Work on your feet for extended periods of time with your hands above your head
-Enjoy face-to-face interaction with the public
-Master products, services, and company knowledge
-Show proficiency at cash handling, and opening/closing procedures
-Supervise a teamRequirements-Management/supervisory experience is strongly desired
-Driver's license
-Pre-employment background check
-Must have a high school diploma or GED
-Must be at least 18 years of age
