Responsibilities:

Directs all hourly food service workers in all areas of operation within the school kitchen/serving area. Responsible for production records, all food and paper/chemical supply purchases, HACCP Logs and adhering to all safety protocol. Responsible for weekly payroll compliance, i.e, signatures, paycheck distribution, etc. Responsible for employee training, yearly performance reviews and progressive discipline. Trains food service workers in methods of performing duties. Must be able to read, follow and direct food service workers in the use of Aramark recipes. Ensures all production guidelines are being met. Ensures proper portion and any special dietary requirements are fulfilled. Ensures timely and efficient meal service. Completes all documentation needed in order to meet, and exceed production standards. May aide with serving during serving periods if needed. May perform cashier duties during serving periods Responsible for all daily, weekly and monthly financial paperwork at school location including daily bank deposit. Maintain a safe, sanitary work environment, which conforms to all standards and regulations Adhere to safety policies and accident reporting procedures. Assigns and coordinates work of the food service workers and custodian if applicable. Monitors food service workers to promote efficiency of operations. Follows and carries out the facility rules and regulations. Provides effective direction and ensures all food service workers are productive. Ensures storage areas are locked at the end of the day. Oversees cleaning of kitchen and serving line area. In addition, oversees washing of kitchen utensils and equipment according to sanitary methods. Properly receives and stores food and food related items. Requisitions supplies and equipment to maintain stock levels. Performs related work as needed/required and assists other with daily work as needed. ServSaf Certified Floor sweeping, mopping and trash removal within kitchen area if applicable. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of food preparation techniques Knowledge of MicroSoft Word and Excel Knowledge of proper safety techniques for all equipment and activities in the kitchen environment Basic knowledge of materials, equipment, methods of preparing foods in quantity Basic knowledge of the use and care of all equipment and materials inside the kitchen and cafeteria Skilled in preparation of items from standardized recipes Demonstrates ability to adhere to established time schedules Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations Ability to adhere to all handbook procedures Ability to follow directions, and maintain proper relationships with customers and staff Additional Job Functions:

Serve Safe certified Work in other areas as needed Completion of any task requested by a supervisor or member of the Aramark management team.

Good interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work in a team environment and demonstrate excellent customers service Must have the ability to manage and support the kitchen staff Minimum 2 years experience in the food service industry as a cook Must be able to understand verbal and written instructions Desired Qualifications:

Culinary training or degree 3 or more years experience in the food service industry as a cook Work Environment: Back-of-house. Requires frequent lifting/transporting hot food items, ability to work inside kitchen area, interact with heated equipment, steam and other at risk conditions. Involves repetitive motion.
