Position Summary: The Shift Care Coordinator facilitates excellent patient care on the unit by coordinating the utilization of staff, supplies, and equipment. Coordinates patient care assignments and ensures appropriate utilization of resources and patient flow.
Responsibilities: Exhibits critical thinking/ clinical judgment, manages and counsels members of the nursing team, facilitates processes. Facilitates orientation of new employees, maintains good rapport with patients, families, and other members of healthcare. Maintains open lines of communication, collaborates educational programs, develops and assures appropriate staffing.
Qualifications: Georgia Nursing License
Additional Qualifications: Preferred qualifications include ACLS, BLS, PALS, BSN
License or Certification: Georgia Registered Nurse license
Benefit Eligible: Yes
Exemption Status: Non-exempt
Compensation Detail: Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
Hours/Pay Period: 80
Schedule Details: 12 hour shifts, rotating weekends and some holidays.
Weekend Schedule: Alternating weekends
