Report to: Senior Production Manager

Purpose for the Position:

Manage the stewarding team to ensure all catered events are prepared, delivered, setup and picked up in a timely, organized, and professional manner; working in coordination with catering and the production/kitchen team.

Responsibilities:

Operate all vehicles in accordance with to Boston University guidelines, and maintain that all stewards do the same. Responsible for vehicle maintenance in coordination with BU Trucking. Maintain cleanliness of company vehicles. Must pass annual employee driving back ground check. Write daily catering delivery schedules, ensuring seamless timing and customer satisfaction. Delivery of events promptly and in their entirety, at the time and location specified on the event sheet. Conduct bi-annual catering smallwares inventory in conjunction with catering departments. Contact with the customer on site, striving to meet their requests and exceed their expectations. Proper communication with the sales team regarding additions that clients make to orders, or items that were forgotten. Provide lists and account for all pick-ups the day of the delivery. Stewards are responsible to make the necessary pick ups for events they delivered as well as any others assigned by the stewarding manager. Stewards are expected to account for all equipment delivered to a site, and report any missing or broken equipment to the Stewarding Manager. Follow up with stewarding team to ensure organization, restocking, and cleanliness of the Stewards' area as per the cleaning schedule. Follow all guidelines, policies, and instruction completely. Working hours are according to catering needs and may change from day to day. Managing 8-10 drivers

Tuesday -- Saturday schedule

ServSafe certification preferred.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree (and/or requisite industry and management experience). Minimum of two years operational experience in a hotel/banquet setting required. Current ServSafe and TIPS/TABS certification required.
