Job Description
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Responsibilities:
- Partner with Set Builder, Photographer and Art Director to gain clear understanding of specific set-building needs.
- Assist with building sets that create atmosphere/mood based on specific story
- Estimate and source materials for the project as requested
- Take direction from Sr Set Designer
Experience, Education & Skills
Requirements:
- Experience with building photo studio sets or stage building
- Craftsperson with carpentry, painting, staining, sewing, interior design, propping experience
- Knowledge of fabrics and historical architecture and furniture a plus
- Keeping current with trends in interior design
- Degree in Art, photography, interior design or related is a plus
- Ability to come up with creative solutions quickly
- Ability to build and understand multiple small scales
- Need to be able to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to climb ladders and tolerate strong odors
- Ability to work with chemical compounds and paint
