For individuals experiencing traumatic injury or a neurological diagnosis, the road to recovery can be challenging-physically, emotionally and spiritually. At Spectrum Health, our Neuro Rehabilitation Services (NRS) are designed to meet those challenges by offering compassionate care for the whole person.
Home Care through Spectrum Health NRS offers a highly skilled team of specialists working together to help individuals reach their greatest possible independence and the best possibly quality of life. Our professional treatment team takes a multidisciplinary approach to care, developing individual plans for each patient to ensure optimal rehabilitation.
Our home care program is designed to help children and adults with complex medical and rehabilitation needs, such as traumatic brain injuries, stroke, neurological conditions, spinal cord injuries and orthopedic injuries. Care is provided by our highly skilled specialists, up to 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We are here to help patients and their families get back to enjoying life, surrounded by the familiar comforts of their own home.
Under the direct supervision of the Nursing Unit Manager, and in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, the Registered Nurse uses clinical judgment skills to access and implement the treatment plan for patients. The RN assesses monitors, detects, plans and takes appropriate action to prevent physiological complications associated with specific health problems and/or medical treatment.
Basic Qualifications:
Experience - 6 months of health care experience
Licenses - Registered Nurse (RN)
Michigan Drivers License (MI DL)
Basic Life Support (BLS) or obtained within 90 days
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience - 2 years of experience in relevant clinical nursing related to area of practice
