About this job
Repairs; constructs; installs; troubleshoots; and maintains routine electrical systems and equipment. Cuts; threads; bends; couples; and straps conduit. Cuts wire and conduit to length. Installs; repairs; or replaces switch boxes; light bulbs; plugs; sockets; light fuses; and extension cords. Disassembles motors; generators; and other equipment in preparation for repair. Troubleshoots electrical malfunctions; inspects circuits and wiring for shielding and grounding; and tests electrical equipment for safety and efficiency. Uses blueprints; drawings; layout; or other specifications; and electrical hand tools and voltage-or-amperage measuring and recording devices.
The electrician will supervise and be responsible for all other electricians working on any construction or installation project. The electrician will pull all necessary permist and sign off on the electrical work tithe the eletrical authority.
Must be proficient in the repair and trouble shooting of the following:
1) Machine Controls including design of Automation Control Systems, Process Controller Programming
2) Process Ovens - High Limits, Alarms, PC Upgrades & Repairs, Oven Stabilization & Temperature Uniformity
3) Process Tank - Heaters, Heat Exchangers, Pumps, Etc.
4) Facilities Electrician (Repair & New Construction)
5) Walk-in and chest freezer chart recorder repairs
6) Paint Booth Controllers & Breathable Air Units
7) Vacuum pumps & Foam spraying equipment
8) Air Compressor Controls & future Energy Management Projects
9) Temporary generator hook-up
10) Annual Preventative Maintenance on Exhaust Fans and Heaters for all Buildings
11) Design & Build of Control Panels for Machinery - to Electrical Code
12) Determine best source of supply and pull new circuits for Machinery/Equipment, Area Lighting, HVAC, Supply & Exhaust Fans, Etc
13) Kitchen equipment repairs (ovens, steamers, etc.)
14) UPS systems
15) Interface with Gulf Power
16) Reading and interpreting of all and any electrical drawings and schematics

Basic Qualifications:
Must be a Master Electrician, with a current valid certificate for the State of Florida
Must have an Electrical Journeyman's License
High School Diploma/GED required with 7 years of related work experience
Must be knowledgeable with the National Electric Code
Knowledgeable in 3 Phase 480V Motor Control & surge suppression.
Must be knowledgeable in troubleshooting &repair of Machine Controls, Process
Controls, Variable Speed Drives, Process Controllers, Design of Control Circuits and programming of same.
Must be able to work any shift, weekends, and overtime as required.
Physical Requirements: Primarily manufacturing/assembly environment. Must be able to work in the following environmental conditions: noise, vibration, proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current. Must be able to bend and reach. Must have close visual acuity such as viewing a computer terminal, extensive reading, visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines, and/or assembly or fabrication parts at close distance to the eyes. Must be able to communicate effectively. Must be able to maneuver up to 50 pounds. Will be performing substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
