  • Location: Kennesaw State University, 540 Parliament Garden Way NW, Kennesaw, GA  30144  Note: online applications accepted only.
  • Schedule:  F/T, Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm.

Summary: Responsible for clerical functions and administrative support of food sustainability programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Answer telephones and direct inquires in a professional and client centric manner.
  • Assist the Director of Operations and the Resident District Manager to define sustainability scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders in accordance with dining services and client requirements.

  • Foster a culture of sustainable practices through ongoing communications and education.

  • Work closely with Campus Farm to further promote and educate on KSU’s farm to table programs and initiatives.

  • Develop and deliver sustainability progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation and presentations.

  • Maintain confidential files.
  • Work effectively and maintain good working relationships with co-workers, school personnel, administrators, students and supervisor.
  • Process vendor invoices for payment - using computer, making sure addition is correct and checking item prices against bid specifications, making sure there is no discrepancy in pricing.
  • Perform monthly vendor statement reconciliation.
  • Assist in preparation of end of month financial reports.
  • Attend in-service and/or safety meetings as required.
  • Maintain clean and safe work environment; ability to perform job safely.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
