Our client, an IT company located near Woodbury, NY is currently in immediate of an experienced IT Procurement Specialist.
This is a temp to hire position, ideal for someone who is currently NOT employed!
Hours: Monday – Friday 8:15 a.m. – 5:15 p.m.
Essential Job Functions:
• Procure technology related goods, services, custom software systems, maintenance and consulting support
Key Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the procurement of IT-related commodities such as phone networks, data networks, etc.
• Prepares bid documents, bid evaluation, outline agreements, purchase orders releases, purchase orders and change notices to contracts as required
• Heavy emailing and interaction with clients/vendors
Requirements:
• 4-5 years of recent experience in a RELATED role required; must have experience procuring IT-related commodities
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Experience with Tigerpaw software is a plus, however not required
• High school diploma/GED required; College degree required
Hourly salary: $17.00 - $23.00 contingent upon prior experience
