Business Unit / Department Mission: Responsible for the accurate and efficient operation of the store Business Center and assist the designated Operations Leader in providing the overall direction and coordination of the Services Co Department. This position is responsible for assuming a leadership role as they learn to coordinate a team of Partners, with responsibilities to serve as a role model in providing Customer Service, train other Partners in the department, and work with the Operations Leader on key business issues

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND PROCESS RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned as necessary)

- Actively leads Partners in superior Customer Service, knowledge of services and products, and utilizing suggestive selling techniques

- Provides work direction and training to other departmental personnel

- Coaches, develops, and trains Partners to maintain a positive team building environment

- Works to achieve financial goals through monitoring department budget and payroll, increasing sales through merchandising, and leading partners in active selling of Services Co products and services, and may prepare work schedules

- Ensures all Services Co products, services, and equipment are fully stocked and functional

- Maintains communication with designated Operations Leader regarding department activities, needs, opportunities, achievements, and promotional ideas

- Ensures compliance with Services Co Store Operation Procedures (SOPs) and compliance with H-E-B Money Services Business (MSB) guidelines

- Partner with Store Operations Leader and/or Department Manager to complete Money Services Business (MSB) Quarterly Checklist.

- Visits the department website for weekly roadmaps, departmental communications, and departmental resources.

- Works closely with Cash Controller to ensure Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs) are maintained and Business Center transactions are precisely reconciled.

- Works closely with Cash Controller to ensure proper funds are order for Seasonal Check Cashing.

- Troubleshoot all Business Center transactions including researching and resolving variances.

- Complete all tasks assigned in Task Manager within the allotted time frame.

- Frequently performs all duties of Business Center Representative and Business Center Specialist

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION PREFERRED

- Must be 18 years of age or older

- High School diploma or equivalent

- 1 - 2 years of previous experience in the Business Center preferred

- MSB and AST Certified

- Exhibits great customer service skills

- Ability to lead and motivate self and others

- Ability to be proactive in seeing problems and resolving them quickly (including the appropriate store leadership when necessary)

- Ability to remain composed in stressful situations

- Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities and to create and maintain a positive work team, with strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

- PC skills to include Email and Intranet navigation

PHYSICAL AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

The essential physical requirements of the Business Center include:

- Occasionally: walks, reaches at overhead, reaches at shoulder, reaches at knee, reaches at floor, bends, stoops, squats, crouches, kneels, climbs stairs, pivots, twists, pushes/pulls with arms, pinches with fingers, and performs fine motor movements

- Constantly: stands, reaches at waist, and grasps

- Must be able to lift up to 42 lbs.

- Must be able to manage in excess of 50 lbs.

- It is the responsibility of the individual partner to never lift beyond his/her own safe limiting limit. If the partner feels that an item is too heavy to lift, push/pull, and/or carry, the partner must: (1) break the item down

into lighter/smaller, more manageable components, which he/she is comfortable with safely handling; (2) ask for assistance from another partner; or (3) ask for assistance from a manager.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is:
