Kindred Healthcare is seeking a Director of Nursing and Clinical Services (DNCS) for our freestanding rehabilitation hospital in Webster, TX .

As Director of Nursing and Clinical Services (DNCS) you will be responsible for planning, organizing, staffing, controlling, coordinating and supervising of Nursing and Clinical Services at Clear Lake Rehabilitation Hospital located in Webster, TX which is a southeastern suburb of Houston. Our facility is a JCAHO Accredited, 60-bed physical rehabilitation hospital. In addition, you will be accountable for determining and maintaining standards of patient care. Responsibilities will also include strategic planning, management of personnel and material resources, as well as staff development and evaluation. Also, you will be responsible for maintaining effective collaborative relationships with the Medical Director, the Director of Rehab, third party payors, case managers and other applicable referral sources while participating in the marketing efforts as a member of the management team. You will also provide leadership for professional staff development, accreditation by JCAHO and other outside agencies.

Requirements include 2-5 years of progressive management experience within an inpatient rehabilitation setting, or freestanding rehabilitation hospital is preferred. To qualify you must be a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of TX with a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN). Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy or Physical Therapy, Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology.

Licenses/Certification:

Licensed by or eligible for licensure in respective state.

Experience:

4 years of clinical experience; 2 years Long-Term Care experience.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Knowledge of Long-term care, Medicaid and Medicare regulations and standards and up-to-date knowledge of new clinical developments.

Ability to teach/train new information.

Good verbal and written communication skills.

Strong interpersonal skills to relate to a varied audience.

Excellent understanding of physical and speech therapy all practice in order to effectively coordinate ongoing clinical development and program prioritization.

Strong understanding of over RHB clinical and operational practice strategies and goals.

Excellent documentation skills.

Proficient in Word, Excel and other programs to support role.

Knowledge of policies and procedures related to the provision of rehabilitation services.
