Job Details:

This position is the lead analyst for Financial Planning support of the Capital & Business Planning function within CCHS. Secondary responsibilities include providing support for Community Hospital capital planning and business plan development. This position is responsible for acting as an internal finance consultant to institutes/hospitals for all related finance functions, including business plan development and review, financial modeling and analysis, strategic assessments and presentations, as well as reporting, analysis and budgeting.

DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC DUTIES:

Prepare and/or review financial assumptions and forecast models (including P&L, balance sheet and cash flows) for assigned project opportunities. Work with project team to determine appropriate assumptions and ensure models reflect as appropriate. Work with Sr. Project Manager, Financial Planning to complete plans and review prior to executive presentations. Develop scenarios and perform sensitivity and scenario analysis as appropriate.

Review and analyze business plans in conjunction with Senior Project Manager, Financial Planning. Work with multi-disciplinary teams on business plan analysis including interpretation of assumptions and risks, financial modeling and data analysis.

Act as internal consultant to Institutes/Hospitals in development of business plans for new opportunities. Design and develop new tools for assessing projects and business plans. Work with Project Manager, Financial Planning

Work with other finance functions such as Long Range Forecast, Budget and Corporate Accounting as appropriate to reflect economics of new projects in conjunction with overall CCHS forecasts.

Prepare periodic financial reporting, budgeting, variance and trend analysis as required.

Support strategic financial planning activities of the organization as required.

EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, Business or related field. Master's degree preferred.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification preferred.

COMPLEXITY OF WORK: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Minimum of four years finance, revenue cycle management or general analytical experience. Healthcare experience preferred. Master's degree may offset some required experience. Ability to complete sophisticated analytical, consultative and information support through analysis and report preparation. Demonstrated critical thinking and problem solving skills, decisive judgment and the ability to lead projects and people. Strong understanding of complex key performance indicators, cash flow analysis, product line analysis and proposal development.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Manual dexterity sufficient to operate computer. Ability to lift and transport up to 25 pounds. May require extended periods of standing, walking or sitting. Good visual acuity through normal or corrected vision.
