Aerotek is currently looking for an Inspection Program Manager:

Primary Function:

Under the direction of Inspection Services leadership, the Inspection Program Manager will have oversight of all ongoing Inspection Services programs for the assigned Client(s). This position monitors, coordinates, prioritizes, and optimizes resources for the assigned Client(s) to ensure project scope is achieved and delivered to the Client(s) in a timely manner.

This position will also assist with the development of new business by teaming with both the Business Development Team and other Business Segment Leaders to maintain and expand the firm's participation in business opportunities with the Client(s) they are working, focusing on the Client's specific areas of need that can impact the Magnolia River's business segments to advance Magnolia River as a whole.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Extensive knowledge of the natural gas industry, as it pertains to CFR 49 Part 192 from a constructability and inspection services standpoint.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy. Ability to prioritize, organize, and delegate assignments
  • Proficient in the use of spreadsheets, database and word-processing applications.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication, persuasive and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to rapidly establish creditability and relationships with a broad range of individuals.
  • Ability to perform assigned responsibilities with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to compile, review, and reconcile data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.

Education and Experience:

  • Associates Degree in Management or a technical field. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 5 years' experience in the natural gas industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
  • Supervisory experience is preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the day to day activities of the Inspection Program while simultaneously maintain the deliverables of the GPS, Mapping and Projects from Engineering.
  • Has overall responsibility to ensure the achievement of the project scope, goals and deliverables.
  • Coordinate the Inspection Staff to meet client objectives. Ensure the inspection process is documented, records maintained and recorded on client specific forms. At the conclusion of each construction project, deliver the construction binder and flash drive of all project documentation.
  • Ensure the Inspectors are completing the daily reports, documenting in a brief synopsis the work day activities.
  • Maintain and submit project status report on ALL Magnolia River projects under construction and on the horizon. The status report will be submitted to the client every 2 weeks.
  • Overall responsibility for developing and maintaining client relationships.
  • Work cohesively with leadership of the client to ensure projects are inspected in adherence to the Client's Construction standards, O&M procedures and adherence to DOT 192.
  • Plan & schedule Operator Qualification, refresher courses and other training as needed.
  • Provide direction and support of Inspectors. Work with the Client for on-boarding of additional inspection staff to meet client construction deliverables.
  • Meet continuously with Client Representatives to ensure a positive relationship and that project deliverables are being achieved.
  • Maintain inspection skill, becoming an expert with the Client's policies, procedures, plastic fusion and steel pipe construction protocol .
  • Monitor the day to day work product of the Inspectors, verifying the Inspectors are meeting the SOW and expectations of the Client.
  • Assist with adhering to the strategic and technical input to assist the overall growth of Inspection Services Division. This includes but is not limited to working cohesively with GIS to develop the GPS implementation, the development and expansion of the software daily inspection and project status reporting and participation in conferences.
  • Responsible for working with other leadership to oversee development and execution of appropriate plans within Inspection Services.
  • Explore business opportunities with the Client; identifying areas of opportunity for MR's other revenue streams.
  • Actively involved with achieving annual profit and revenue objectives for Magnolia River Inspection Services.
  • Responsible for executing the strategies required to achieve financial objectives
  • Become knowledgeable of other Magnolia River Services and be able to promote those services through demos or utilizing SME's of Magnolia River (flowGIS, GIS, at-risk, Mapping, Inspector Status Report Tool, etc.)
  • Become a Master Evaluator.
  • Ensure Inspectors are completing GPS points in timely manner. Delinquent data collection is unacceptable.
  • Responsible to ensure the inspection staff review monthly safety presentations, inspector's attendance and participation at tailgate meetings, inspector's review of quarterly compliance memos and inspector's adherence to safety protocol.
  • Under the guidance of the Inspection Services Manager, Training Coordinator and HR, assist as directed with the training, development, evaluation and supervision of departmental employees. This includes ensuring Inspectors are maintaining the Operator Qualifications (OQ) tasks for the projects assigned.
  • Communicate effectively, both written and oral, with project team and management staff.
  • Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or HR.
  • Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
  • Frequent overnight travel for client meetings outside of normal work hours.
  • Annually complete employee performance evaluations and work cohesively with HR to develop measureable goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
