Program Coordinator \ Employment Specialist - Full-time / Part-time

REM Ohio is currently accepting applications for a Program Coordinator to work as an Employment Specialist in the Marion Ohio area. The Program Coordinator is the frontline team member who plays an essential role with individuals supported, staff supervision and referral agencies. The Program Coordinator directly participates in the schedule by working and billing hours weekly, completing and assigning work to Job Coaches (as applicable), overseeing staff training requirements, eligibility to work, and timely completing all program and billing documentation. The Program Coordinator / Employment Specialist oversees all aspects of fulfilling services authorized by the funding source. Including job development and placement, job coaching and follow up and all other authorized training and services.

This is an hourly position (40 hrs. / week) requiring energetic, detail oriented leaders that will oversee all job development and coaching. As well as any vocational sites in the greater Marion Ohio area . The ideal candidate will have previously demonstrated successful experiences in vocational programs / Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities. And be an independent worker, team player and an efficient and organized leader.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Three years related work experience
• Must be 18 years of age
• Valid driver’s license in good standing
• Car registration and vehicle insurance if providing transportation for individuals receiving services
• Successful clearance of local and/or state background checks
• Supervisory experience preferred
