SUMMARY OF POSITION:
This intern will assist Research and Development engineers with development of new laparoscopic surgical devices. Intern will be involved in various aspects of product development including voice of customer, concept generation, design, prototyping, manufacturing, testing and analysis. Collaboration and mentoring will be with a cross-functional team (engineering, manufacturing, marketing, legal, regulatory, quality and procurement). Position is in North Haven, CT.
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS:
The ideal candidate is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering and has strong hands-on abilities coupled with mechanical aptitude.
Current, full-time (undergraduate/graduate) student pursing a degree in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering
Preferred year in school: Minimum sophomore
GPA of 3.2 or above
Must be available to work at least 40 hours a week Monday-Friday
Excellent communication skills both oral and written
