POSITION SUMMARY

The Account Manager is directly responsible for the daily management of the Marriott Digital Services search engine optimization program for 40 hotels, across multiple brands. The Account Manager is the main point of contact for the hotels providing strategic and tactical support. This positing is responsible for setting the program/ROI expectations and compiles quarterly performance reports, making changes to strategy when necessary. This position reports into an Account Strategist.

Marriott Digital Services (MDS) is an in-house digital services team. This centralized in-house team provides individual hotels with digital services, and functions as an agency-like model within the Global eCommerce and Digital Services organization.

EXPECTED CONTRIBUTIONS

The Account Manager delivers against all aspects of the MDS program offering for a defined set of hotels within portfolio. This includes:

Personal/Staff Development

Supports department-wide efforts to improve eCommerce culture and work environment Develops management skills by attending available Management and Leadership Training

Property Communication

Schedules and leads property calls throughout year-long enrollment period Holds formal kick-off calls. Collects information from newly enrolled hotels regarding needs and expectations, answers questions about the program and ensures appropriate documentation is delivered to begin engagement Monitors the impact of the program versus property goals and proactively communicates with properties about need for changes in strategic direction Addresses ad-hoc property questions and concerns in an effective and timely manner. Escalates issues to manager when needed.

Program Deliverables

Makes strategic recommendations for keyword strategy and optimization elements; reviews with property, implements for each hotel Manages hotel optimization process, ensuring all program tactics are completed within the timeline, including, but not limited to local citations, local linking, social media optimization, search & social consultation, photo optimization. Coordinates with hotels and content writers to create marketable content to be syndicated via online media outlets.

Reporting and Analytics

Creates quarterly report that includes analysis of SEO traffic/booking/revenue trends, as well as hotel visibility compared to competitors against a strategic set of defined keywords. Schedules and leads quarterly calls with properties to communicate program results; provides insights and answers questions about hotel performance in the search engines.

Property Satisfaction and Retention

Meets goals as defined by property satisfaction survey and annual renewal targets. Proactively identifies when hotels are due for renewal and works with manager to solicit re-enrollment. Ensures consistency in service across years for renewing hotels.

Internal and External Expertise

Seeks out opportunities to learn more about the industry and other departments within Marriott Digital Engages in frequent communication with team Digital to ensure alignment, pull-through, and two-way communication about the status, performance, opportunities, and issues related to SEO programs and initiatives. Attends SEO Industry conferences and seminars to increase subject matter expertise

CANDIDATE PROFILE - KEY TALENTS AND EXPERIENCE DESIRED

Skills and Knowledge

2-3 years of total marketing experience 1 years in digital marketing. Experience with hotel a plus BS/BA degree in marketing related field Agency work experience strongly preferred; primarily in a property services/account services role Familiarity with search marketing fundamentals; SEO in particular Strong attention to detail, high energy Solid Project Management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Strong Client Services approach Strong written/oral skills, including presentation skills Ability to analyze data across multiple reporting sources and create savvy reports detailing trends, projections, etc. Works with manager to improve and increase skills and knowledge Proficient in Microsoft Office Demonstrates self-confidence, energy and enthusiasm. Effective written and oral communications skills.
