Dietary Aide

Under the general direction of the supervisor, staff member is responsible for basic food preparation, patient diet order communication and tray assembly. Follows patient meal requirements and completes all sanitation and safety duties in the tray line area.

1.Prepares cold food production for all patients.

2.Communicates with nursing staff and coordinates patient diet tray service using computer system.

3.Prepares daily supplements and nourishments for each floor as instructed.

4.Communicates phone messages, to process any diet changes and late requisitions.

5.Cleans and maintains work area equipment according to safety and sanitation standards to meet state, local, and Joint Commission requirements.

High School graduate or GED Preferred, Food handlers certification. Must have rapid motor skills. Bilingual English/Spanish.
