Behavioral Specialist - Full-time / Part-time

Harbor View Community Services Center, located in Long Beach, is a field based outpatient mental health program. Harbor View is contracted with the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health (DMH) to offer services to children with Medi-Cal in the South Bay area. We currently serve over 300 children and their families by helping improve their quality of life and function in a healthier manner at home, school, and the community. We are one of the only outpatient facilities in Los Angeles County with a three-year accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). Harbor View Community Services Center has immediate openings for a Therapist 2 position in our Full Service Partnership (FSP) program. The Therapist 2 will be responsible for providing field/community-based clinical services with children ages 5 to 17. R esponsibilities 1 . Providing comprehensive psychosocial assessments, treatment planning, risk assessment, crisis intervention, and coordination of therapeutic activities. 2. Responsible for maintaining and overseeing a regular caseload of clients. 3. Provides therapy to clients using a variety of modalities (including individual, group, family, etc.). 4. Ability to work individually and as part of a team to ensure that clients are receiving the best case possible. 5. Participates in weekly supervisory and case consultation sessions. 6. Maintains appropriate case files and agency records in accordance with contract and agency requirements. 7. Participates in 24/7 on-call rotation for crisis intervention. Qualifications:

Qualifications: *Master degree from accredited school in Marriage and Family Therapy or Social Work. * Must be registered as a MFT Intern or Social Worker Associate with BBS. * Strong clinical and interpersonal skills, and excellent written and verbal skills. *Minimum one-year full time equivalent experience working with children in outpatient settings. *Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred with a pay differential.
