Company Overview

Florida Hospital Wesley Chapel is now open with 80 inpatient beds, expanding to a capacity of 288. The hospital has the very latest technology and ancillary health care services to provide excellent quality of care to the people of Wesley Chapel and surrounding communities. Florida Hospital Wesley Chapel is a Christian, not-for-profit institution and part of the Adventist Health System, the largest not-for-profit Protestant health care system in the United States.

Florida Hospital Wesley Chapel has opened the Florida Hospital Wesley Chapel Health & Wellness Center. This new facility is membership focused along with multiple health and fitness amenities. Some of these amenities will include personal training, specialized programming, massage therapy services, caf, logo shop and child sitting services. Additionally, the outpatient physical therapy is now open. Some of the health and fitness service offerings will include an aquatics center, 80 pieces of cardiovascular training equipment, over 9,000 pounds of free weights and weight resistance training equipment, full-service locker rooms, multiple group exercise studios with cycling and mind/body rooms.

General Summary

Evaluates patient-meal selection, tray completion, tray delivery, and tray retrieval process on a daily basis.

Responsive to patient's needs at all times. Resolves patient concerns or complaints immediately and/or reports needed assistance to supervisor as appropriate.

Complies with dietary restrictions on special, modified diets to ensure optimal food preferences are met within guidelines of diet order limitations.

Communicates any patient related problems/concerns to appropriate personnel, in a timely manner following departmental procedures.

Available to perform daily activities in patient services.

Updates and communicates job-flow changes of patient services positions as applicable.

Assists with patient food services needs, such as modified diet recipe requirements, patient services production needs, portion control and timeliness in which food is delivery to workstation or trayline.

Evaluates, mentors, and disciplines patient services employees as applicable and according to departmental policy.

Monitoring of patients who are NPO, on liquid diets or have calorie counts ordered.

Interacts with Nursing to ensure patients' diet prescriptions are accurate and patient's food needs are met.

Exhibits pleasant and cheerful demeanor and maintains a helpful attitude towards employees, physicians, patients and visitors.

Visits patients on an assigned nursing unit or area and helps ensure that every patient is visited by a member of the management or professional team at least once during their hospital stay.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

High school education; or up to two years related ; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills:

Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other associates of the facility.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

R easoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uncomplicated written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
