These are Full-time/Solo Driver positions. *Part-time work is also available for those interested. Area of delivery: Dispatches out of Springfield OR and will have BOTH Intrastate (within State deliveries) & Interstate (out of State deliveries.) Primary locations includes: OR, WA, ID, and MT. Dedicated Runs : Yes -- for the most part all are dedicated routes with exceptions when needed to service the customer. Home Time : When doing local runs- home time is daily, but this will vary when doing interstate/overnight runs- this can mean 1 to 2 nights out. Touch Freight : Yes: Touch freight live load/unload with manual pallet jack (and/or hand break down depending of items being delivered) Product(s) being delivered: Hardware store supplies/General freight Type of Equipment: NEW EQUIPMENT with APU's (Primarily Sleepers) Type(s) of trailer(s): Dry Vans, Doubles, Maxi-Sets Length of Equipment : 24', 31', 48' 53' and Doubles Specialized equipment: Pallet jack & Forklift Endorsements: HazMat, Doubles-Triples ( **if you do not have the endorsement(s) but are willing a nd eager to learn, you will have a set amount of time to obtain them & Ryder will reimburse the cost.) Additional Perks of the Position : Safety-shoe reimbursement & Uniforms provided---you maintain. Typical work week for the driver will be: 1500 miles 10 to 20 stops 1 to 2 layovers. Requirements:

Minimum 22 years of age Pass a Ryder Drug Test Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years Pass a DOT physical Pass a Ryder road test Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle: 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR 2 years' experience within the last 5 years, OR 5 years' experience within the last 10 years Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures Important Note: Additional requirements may be required in different locations and/or accounts.

Responsibilities:

This position is primarily responsible for safely driving a commercial vehicle and requires compliance with safety & DOT Regulations, continuous training and customer service.

Additional Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards Maintaining accurate records and logs Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer Other tasks as assigned
