About this job

Reviews, analyzes, and modifies systems including encoding, testing, debugging and installing to support the organization's Meditech Clinical application systems. Consults with users to identify current operating procedures and to clarify objectives. Documents implementations and modifications. Assists in preparing operating procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. Reports to Information Systems Director.

Provides direct support and maintenance of Meditech Clinical Applications, especially Advanced Clinical Modules.

Responsible for new functionality testing, preparation of testing scripts, and training of new processes/enhancements for application updates/upgrades.

Evaluate workflows, user requirements and system functionality to ensure optimization of user workflows and system functionality.

Development of NPR and/or SQL reports to meet end user requests.

Development of training materials for physician training related to new physicians, process changes, new functionality, etc.

Responsible for system training of on boarding of new users including providers. Ensure access is appropriate based on the role of the user

Direct support and maintenance of Fluency Voice Recognition and Vocera Communication database.

Work with leadership to ensure the electronic systems meet required standards for The Joint Commission, CMS, Meaningful Use, etc. Work closely with physician leadership to implement new process and resolve issues

Develop, install, maintain interfaces to/from Meditech from various system applications such as GE Centricity, Medhost EDIS, MCCM, ReDoc, and others.

Perform On Call duties and responsibilities for Information Systems on a rotating basis.

Work with leadership in development and revision of templates to meet physician documentation needs

Work collaboratively with the Help Desk in resolution of end user issues in a timely manner.

Collaboratively work with other teams to meet the needs of the end users. Education: Degree in Information Systems/Clinical Information Systems desired Nursing Informatics study desirable.

Experience: More than five years' experience in a hospital clinical setting. Proven organizational skills, and an aptitude for using computers beyond an end-user level. 5 or more years' experience with working MEDITECH's MAGIC clinical applications as an analyst.

Licenses/Certificates: RN License strongly desirable
