JOB SUMMARY:

A staffing company located in Hamilton, NJ is immediately looking for a H R Assistant to provide administrative and human resources assistance.

Communication skills in English and Spanish, customer service, answering phone calls, sales calls, MS Office and computer skill required.

Part time M-F (30 hours) option is available.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Answers incoming telephone calls, screens calls, and refers to proper manager for handling. Assists directly with routine inquiries
  2. Handles routine inquiries on employment verifications and job openings in line with written company policy on these matters
  3. Maintains employment resumes, application forms, and applicant flow logs in line with company policy.
  4. Places job openings with job boards, social media and classified advertisements. Sorts responses and turns over to appropriate manager
  5. Maintains employee personnel files in line with company policies and government regulations. Retains records in line with company record retention requirements
  6. Provides orientation to personnel on company policies and programs
  7. Schedule interviews and maintain interview calendars on daily bases
  8. Handles e-verify, background verification and drug test for personnel

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Ability to maintain the highly confidential nature of human resources work
  2. At least two years college, including courses in human resources management
  3. At least one years administrative or human resources experience
  4. Personal computer, word and excel skills are required
  5. Tact, above average communication skills, ability to work effectively with both employees and managers.
  6. Ability to convey a positive and professional image to applicants and employees.
