This position is based in Miami and reports to the Programming Manager.

* Assist the Programming Manager and Coordinators with the creation of monthly specials and programming strategies.

* Assist in updating various programming grids and monthly presentations for all channels in the Latin America region, including Universal Channel, Syfy, and Studio Universal.

* Assist in tracking current US television programming for relevant series - including air dates, scheduling strategies, trends, upcoming guest stars or special presentations.

* Track competitors within Latin America and help create seasonal competition grids for analysis.

* Screen and review films for possible acquisitions for Syfy and Studio, and maintain an updated screenings report with opinions on content, production value, and brand relativity.

* Compile and maintain episodic synopsis and title information for translation, and keep this information updated in content database.

* Attend Programming meetings with On-air, Online, and Marketing departments to present monthly strategies.

* Research programming classifications for on-air disclaimers and input into database.

* Brainstorm creative ideas for on-air promotions with the Programming Manager and On-air coordinator.

Qualifications/Requirements * In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree on Mass Communications at an accredited institution and be able to provide documentation to confirm your degree progress

* Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits)

* Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above

* Previous work experience in an office environment

* Must be 18 years of age or older

* Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. without a visa or sponsorship

* Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Internships at NBCUniversal are paid and do not require course credit.
