We have a part-time opening for a Technology Coordinator.

Must be able to work various shifts per week.

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Requirements

Founded in 1912, the mission of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Kansas City, a charter member of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, is to promote the development of self-esteem, values and skills for boys and girls, ages 5-18, with special emphasis on youth from disadvantaged circumstances.

Responsibilities:        

The Technology Coordinator will plan, implement, facilitate, and supervise computer training for club members.

Individual will have responsibility for supervising computer lab while in use; developing and delivering exciting and engaging age appropriate computer- and technology-based training to youth ages 5-18, with assistance of Director of Technology & Education; basic computer equipment maintenance; ensuring youth development principles are incorporated into programs and activities; providing guidance and discipline to ensure a safe and positive environment for youth; maintaining participation records; and other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:      

Associates degree or education and experience in information technology, computer science, or other related field preferred; one or more years working with youth and diverse population; knowledge of  computer hardware and software; knowledge of the Internet; past experience in training or facilitation preferred; knowledge of working with volunteers helpful; flexibility and excellent organization skills required. 

Must be available to work Monday – Friday, 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. and occasional weekends; meet background and motor vehicle check requirements.
