Overview:
The Food Service Tech I performs a variety of duties which is dependent upon the area worked in the Nutrition Services department. Duties could include, but not limited to the following: storage and handling of food and supplies, cashier, patient tray and food preparation, delivering patient trays, documenting and monitoring temperatures, washing dishes/service ware, maintains cleanliness of all Nutrition Service areas. Must adhere to all safe food handling regulations.
Responsibilities:
Food Safety- Provide a safe and sanitary Food Service area free by adhering to all HACCP and FDA guidelines.
Responds in positive manner to all customers/co-workers and patients needs.
Operates all equipment in a safe manner according to department standards as well as maintains all equipment according to department cleaning standards.
Maintains and completes all documentation within HACCP guidelines.

Other: Ability to work well with others in team environment. Self starter. Strong interpersonal skills. Must be able to follow instructions. Ability to learn on the job requirements for defined duties.
