Shift Supervisor/ Coordinator

Overview The Shift Supervisor is responsible for carrying out the operator’s vision and meeting store goals, as well as ensuring the successful completion of day-to-day operations to establish and maintain the vision, “To be the world’s most caring company.” This position is responsible for direct training and development of employees. The Shift Supervisor also adheres to all health code and labor regulations and ensures the restaurant has a solid foundation that coincides with the standards, culture, and mission of Chick-fil-A.

Responsibilities QUALITY • Develop trust with guests through meeting the quality requirements all day every day • Taste: Serve crave-able food • Speed: Be surprisingly fast • Attentive & Courteous: Enthusiastically fulfill the Core Four • Cleanliness: Offer a refreshingly clean environment • Accuracy: Maintain 99% accuracy and strive for 100% for all orders • Utilize the LEAN process • Ensure daily eRQAs are completed and findings are addressed

SAFETY • Create and maintain a clean and safe environment in the restaurant • Address and monitor employee hygiene, uniform and hand washing • Ensure all employees are following safety prevention measures • Ensure SAFE Daily Criticals are completed twice a day • Daily completion of Safety checklist • Familiar with unit crisis response plan and know where to locate it • Stay in compliance with all health code, OHSA, labor laws and state laws • Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 40 pounds • Must be able to maneuver in tight spaces

• Ensure guests feel cared for by meeting 2nd Mile Service requirements and going above and beyond expectations • Ensure a culture where everyone is genuine, proactive and personal • Ability to recover and “wow” guests who have experienced a problem • Create a hospitable and energetic environment for team members and guests • Lead by example through good attitude, selfless service and availability • Motivate, encourage and train team members while working alongside them • Build relationships with employees and positive team chemistry • Evaluate team members in an unbiased manner and praise in public, discipline in private • Ensures all check lists have been completed to set up the next leader for success

• Be a good steward of equipment, supplies, people and money • Ensure all money is safely locked at all times • Count register in the presence of responsible cashier for accountability • Monitor and understand labor productivity • Monitor and coach the importance of food cost • Constant awareness of restaurant loss-prevention, which includes food, time, money, etc.

  • Previous management experience a plus.
