ENGINEER 2

POSITION SUMMARY:

The incumbent in this position will perform preventive and predictive maintenance and troubleshoot utility systems which may include HVAC-R, electronic systems, electrical, air, water and/or equipment.  The incumbent is under the direction of the Facilities Shift Supervisor and Facilities Shift Manager, the incumbent also responds to all General Maintenance service calls.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Creates an atmosphere that induces guests to make Hard Rock Rocksino Northfield Park their choice for gaming entertainment; responsible for actively building and retaining guest relations and acts as a mentor to team members in order to provide superior guest service.
2. Responds to maintenance service calls in a timely manner.
3. Perform skilled maintenance repairs to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and all other guest and facilities work requests.
4. Fills out maintenance request forms when task is complete and turns them in to the Facility Shift Supervisor.
5. Maintains technical logs and records all relevant data as appropriate.
6. Other duties as assigned.
7. Attend and participate in meetings, completing follow-up as assigned;
8. Perform work regularly and predictably

NON-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNTIONS

Attend seminars when needed.

EDUCATION AND /OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

(Related education and experience may be interchangeable on a year for year basis)

This knowledge and these abilities are typically acquired through a High School Diploma or technical certificate as well as a minimum of 3 years of experience performing general maintenance duties (plumbing, electrical, HVAC and other general facility repairs) or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.  Must also have a working knowledge of all aspects of maintenance, repair and service and the ability to troubleshoot problems and take appropriate action.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: (Licenses, Certifications, Testing, etc):

• Must obtain and maintain valid licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Gaming/Lottery regulations.
• Must successfully pass background check.
• Must successfully pass drug screening.
• Must be eighteen (18) years of age.

KNOWLEDGE OF:

• Basic hand and power tools and testing equipment.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain all appropriate licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Gaming regulations.

ABILITY TO:

• Be flexible to work varying shifts and time schedules as needed.
• Communicate effectively with all levels of employees and guests.
• Remain calm in a hectic, fast-paced atmosphere.
