Construction Associate (Administrative/Office Position)

Superior Home Services is seeking challenge-driven and self-motivated candidates for a career opportunity within our construction department.

Position Purpose:

Construction Associates provide support for bidding and repair projects.

Position duties:

• Request, retrieve and review repair bids


• Review contractor documentation


• Interact with contractors and vendors


• Interact with municipalities to resolve concerns


• Review claim settlements and other documentation


• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Minimum qualifications:

• At least 2 years recent experience in an office environment and/or administrative role involving the use of Microsoft Office Suite Programs


• At least 2 years recent experience in a client-facing role involving customer service and initiating follow-up


• At least 2 years recent successful experience in a fast-paced, high-volume setting


• High School Diploma / GED


• A comprehensive knowledge of construction


• Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)


• Typing speed of at least 35 words per minute with an 80% accuracy


• Strong written and verbal communications


• Strong interpersonal relationship skills and ability to work effectively within a team setting


• Strong time management and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high volume environment

Preferred qualifications (not required):

• Some completed college coursework in construction management


• Associate's and/or Bachelor's degree (preference for degrees in related fields, such as construction management).


• Experience in residential construction, preferably in rehab/remodel/repair


• A combination of relevant education/experience may also be considered
