Client in Lemoore is seeking a Plant Accounting Supervisor

Job Description
  • The primary job responsibilities of the Plant Accounting Supervisor are:
  • Assist the Plant Senior Supervisor with accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis across multiple departments for the Lemoore West facility.
  • Monitor and enhance Admin driven reporting and procedures.
  • Direct the plant internal audit and maintain proper controls throughout the facility by the use of the Controls Checklist.
  • Direct the training, development and duties of the Plant Accounting Staff to ensure plant financial reporting objectives are met.
  • Partner with Support Departments to validate, measure, and track all aspects of the financial environment.
  • This position will report directly to the Plant Senior Supervisor and have up to four direct reports.
POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • Direct the Accounting Team in the timely and accurate completion of any and all payroll, Accounts Payable, R&D and financial related data and reports. (Daily/Weekly/Monthly) Providing the Leadership Team the ability to make better decisions and improve area management.
  • Ensure and monitor controls in place for all areas of the business areas in conjunction with internal and external audits. This includes but is not limited to inventory, practices, policies, purchasing and state requirements.
  • Develop a detailed understanding of the Production operation and the IS Systems, data flows, and the financial reporting structure for each process.
  • Develop an understanding and the ability to explain the Y&E process, the relationships of data, drivers for key numbers as well as their financial impact to the business overall.
  • Assist the Plant Senior Supervisor and Plant Controller in all budget activities including; compilation of data, preparation of files, and analysis of year over year performance. To drive continuous improvement and collaborate on the presentation to Plant and Corporate Leadership.
  • Direct all administrative functions including the completion of Daily Kronos, assisting in weekly Payroll, and acting as Trainer/Power User for Kronos users throughout the facility.
  • Assist in training courses provided from the Administration Team to the Plant Team. Including SAP course material, General Ledger overview, Pcard related training, Financial Reporting training etc.
  • Assist as needed to ensure the A/P functions are current and accurate including the RNI’s, the 45 Day reports, the general ledger, and the PO process.
  • Support the Admin Department in any and all staffing, cross-training needs, and development of Administration personnel including creating development plans and writing performance reviews.
  • Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum: B.S degree in Manufacturing/Accounting
  • 1-2 years experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • 1-2 years of Supervision/Leadership and Project Management experience
  • Preferred: B.S degree in Accounting and/or Manufacturing (with an emphasis on Accounting)
  • 3-5 years experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • 3-5 years of Supervision/Leadership and Project Management experience

  • Proficient use of the Microsoft Office Suite. With experience in downloading and manipulating data.

  • Proficient with server-based, desktop computer applications.
