Event/Race Crew assists in all aspects of competition production for both the Northstar Race & Event Departments.  The crew will interact with external production staffs and other internal departments with the highest level of safety, efficiency, and service in accordance with this department's strict standards for competition facilitation.  For all events the crew will be responsible for making sure the course and special events are set up in a neat and presentable manner.  As a customer focused organization, a crucial part of each employees job is to get and keep guests.

 

Additional responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

 

  • Event set-up from pre-event planning through event construction and post event tear down
  • Coordination with internal and external contacts
  • Course setting, safety equipment set up, and timing set up
  • Maintenance of race courses-slipping, raking, shoveling, gate and safety equipment repairs
  • Provide great customer service to all of our guests
  • Assist with other department activities as requested
  • Maintain and organize on-hill equipment in a professional manner with an emphasis on safety and guest service

 

Requirements:

 

  • Flexibility in scheduling
  • Lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly
  • Able to hike up and down unstable roads and trails
  • Must be fluent in all aspects of the English language 
  • Some nighttime work and the ability to work safely on and around machinery and scaffolding at all hours
  • Long hours outdoors in the elements in the service of racing and event production

 

 Preferred Skills:

 

  • In person interview
  • Familiarity and experience with all uses of power and hand tools
  • Ability to operate motorized vehicles
  • Previous resort experience
  • Computer knowledge
  • Previous experience working with another race department or event production crew
