Store Manager

The Fresh Produce line is available at 16 Company stores, online at freshproduceclothes.com and at more than 425 independent retailers throughout the continental United States, Canada, Hawaii and the Caribbean.  Fresh Produce products are made primarily in the USA.  The Company is headquartered in Boulder, Colorado, with key production and fulfillment facilities located in Gardena, California.



The Store Manager is responsible for ensuring that the brand is exemplified in all store operations and by living the client experience. The Store Manager is accountable for driving profitable business results and operational excellence through strong leadership skills. You will guide, train, coach, motivate, and inspire your team every day. An established style point of view is a must, as you will merchandise and sell in an ever-changing mix of products that reflect the coastal vibe of Fresh Produce clothing.

 



Duties and Responsibilities:



As a Store Manager you are the face of our brand.  You and your team will act as brand ambassadors to create an authentic connection with the client and the community.



Essential Functions:




  • Inspire your team to maintain an exceptional level of client service.

  • Provide strong leadership to the staff by creating a positive and engaging work environment.

  • Operate with a strategic mindset.

  • Communicate effectively and respond to directives in an accurate and timely manner.

  • Deliver to financial goals.



Client Experience:




  • Model the Fresh Produce Client Experience at all times.

  • Coach team on behaviors that drive the Client Experience.

  • Create and implement clear plans for continued outreach to build client base.

  • Continuously strive to enhance our Client Experience.



Merchandising:




  • Deliver the Fresh Produce lifestyle through high standards of visual presentation.

  • Plan and execute floor set directives within the allotted time frame.

  • Identify and understand trends and opportunities by analyzing various business reports.  Make adjustments as needed to drive business.

  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels based on business and client needs by partnering with your Area Manager.



Operations:




  • Adhere to and ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.

  • Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of and ensure operational excellence in all facets of store operations including store sales, inventory management, POS transactions and loss prevention.

  • Manage P&L holistically with a concentrated focus on all controllable expenses.

  • Manage scheduling/payroll that maximizes staffing to most effectively meet the needs of the business and drive store profitability.



Human Resources:




  • Develop a team that fits the brand and is client focused, professional and knowledgeable.

  • Have a proven track record and ability to identify, recruit, train and develop talented individuals to achieve store sales and objectives.

  • Proactively determine staffing needs to quickly fill open positions.

  • Create an engaging, cross-functional team that works together to take initiative and delivers strong results.

  • Empower the team by providing clear direction through ongoing coaching and support.

  • Partner with your Area Manager on addressing performance issues.

  • Represent the Brand in a professional and positive manner.

  • Maintain and demonstrate flexible schedule availability, including weekends and holidays.

  • Effectively and actively communicate with all channels of the organization.



Qualifications:




  • Minimum 3 years successful retail management experience  in a client focused environment

  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and inspire a team

  • Proven success managing and meeting sales and/or operating targets

  • Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal and organizational skills

  • Ability to handle and protect confidential information and company assets

  • Proven track record in increasing responsibility in an entrepreneurial environment




  • Strong visual eye with experience in specialty fashion apparel

  • Proactive and creative problem solving ability

  • Proficient computer skills including Outlook, Microsoft Office Word and Excel, POS, and payroll tools

  • Physical requirements include the ability to lift 40 pounds, manage stairs and ladders and standing for long periods of time
