A successful Associate Account Executive will have the following:

  • 3-5 years national cable or broadcast Advertising Sales experience; Bachelor’s degree from four-year College or University; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Adhere to all company policies, including recommended rates and packages.
  • Ability to open, probe, support customer needs and close business.
  • Adhere to collection procedures including processing of client contracts and confirmations.
  • Excellent written and oral communication.
  • Strong analytical ability and Media Math knowledge.

 

DISH Media Sales, the advertising sales division of DISH Network, provides smart and effective media solutions that complement those of traditional national cable.  DISH Media Sales is an innovative, passionate and fun group working hard and finding reward in radically changing TV advertising.

 

DISH Media Sales is currently looking for an Associate Account Executive for the Direct Response team in New York.  This individual's success will be directly tied to an ability to help our client's strategize and achieve their growth objectives.  Responsibilities include making sales calls to new and existing customers, as well as creating and revising media plans and packages for DR, Latino, and International clients.  In addition responsibilities will include addressable, interactive and Sling TV sales.

 

Primary responsibilities fall into the following categories:

  • Seek new customers by continuously prospecting following DISH's planned sales strategies and tactics.
  • Meet budgeted revenue goals and activity levels on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
  • Monitor competitive activity and market conditions. Provide feedback and suggestions to management regarding new product addition and existing product deletion.
  • Create and propose advertising recommendations that best suit customer needs. Attend and participate in sales meetings, training programs, and conferences as directed and solicit customers through telephone and in person presentations.
  • Utilization of the company's products and services and ensure goodwill between customers and the company and address customer complaints quickly and advise management promptly of any situation outside position's scope of authority.
  • Work closely with Sales and Pricing & Inventory to create and revise media plans that maximize the use of inventory while meeting both internal and external requirements. Handle various miscellaneous duties as assigned such as client pitches, call-in business, training for sales assistants, and research projects.
