Accounts Receivable / Billing / Costing Analyst

Location:

Springfield Gardens, NY (near JFK)

Main Purpose:

Billing & Costing External and Internal Customers

Job Role:

• Billing customers from agreed tariffs - compile data, compute fees, charges and relevant taxes

• Verify accuracy of billing data and revise any errors

• Prepare invoices for billing purposes and/or for distribution at any other format required by the customer – PDF, EDI or Excel

• Calculating and ensure all expected charges from agents and/or any other charges are calculated accurately and liaising with other department and other offices when needed

• Review of Gross Margin to make sure of correctness of billing and costs estimated and highlight or taking corrective active to any profit or loss outside the normal margin of the customer

• Verification of invoice charges against supplier tariffs

• Identifying and reviewing cost variances against tariffs and estimates to Accounts Manager

• Liaising with suppliers in securing credit notes for overcharges, obtaining copy invoices etc.

• Credit control

• Ad hoc duties as required

Reports to:

Manager

Candidate Requirements:

• The successful candidate will be highly organized, dedicated, professional, motivated and a good communicator

• 3-5 years’ experience in Excel with knowledge of pivot tables and vlookups

• Must demonstrate desire to learn and to be able to quickly formulate independent thinking and strong working relationships with internal and external colleagues

• Strong analytical skills

• Associates’ or Bachelor’s degree

• Accounting and Finance background
