Manufacturing Engineer

This position will be reponsible for improving a Tier I / Tier II Automotive Supplier's high volume production/assembly processes. This will include cost reductions, quality improvements and overall efficiency. This will include collecting data, making improvements and presenting this info to management and other groups within the organization. They will work with vertical and horizontol presses and white polypropylene when/if working with injection molding departement.

This position is open due to growth in the business.

Primary Duties:
- Develops, evaluates and improves manufacturing methods.
- Analyzes & plans work force utilization, space requirements & workflow, designs layout of equipment & workspace for maximum efficiency.
- Confers with planning & design staff concerning product design & tooling to ensure efficient production methods.
- Confers with vendors to determine product specifications & arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, parts & evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards.
- Confers with management and engineering regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules & other considerations to facilitate production processes.
- Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential processes..
- Perform basic PC Maintenance and repair of both software and hardware
- Perform basic network/server maintenance and repair of both software and hardware
- Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

- Degree in mechanical, industrial, or quality engineering or relevant work experience

-Ability to deal directly with customers and suppliers with little direction
