A minimum of two to four years of work-related skill, knowledge, or experience is needed.  Involves inside and outside sales. Must be willing to work weekends and have a valid driver’s license.  Customer service skills needed.  Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Job Description

Establish new sales accounts and manage existing accounts for group room accommodations.

  • Sell various types of accommodations.
  • Seek out new clients and develop clientele by networking.
  • Generate lists of prospective clients.
  • Call on accounts to deliver and explain services, analyze current business needs and suggest additions or changes to group programs.
  • Customize programs to suit individual customers, often covering a variety of services while leveraging amenities of all hotels.
  • Answer customers’ questions about products, prices, availability, product uses, and payment terms.
  • Consult with customers in order to determine objectives and requirements for events such as meetings, conferences, and conventions.
  • Convey details of customer event requirements to Convention Sales staff.
  • Coordinate services such as accommodations and transportation for customers.
  • Conduct post-stay evaluations with customer in order to determine satisfaction and future needs.
  • Analyze details of sales territories to assess their growth potential.
  • Listen to and resolve customer complaints regarding services, products or personnel.
  • Monitor sales performance to ensure that goals are met.
  • Prepare sales and inventory reports for management and budget departments.
  • Attend all sales meetings as well as events hosted by the hotels.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
