Job Description & Qualifications:

Job Summary

Lead and direct strategic growth initiatives to enable the company to continue meeting/exceeding our growth objectives/strategy. Identify, research and analyze potential opportunities for growth, develop strategies to address and capture specific opportunities, test and refine recommendations, evaluate results, and make recommendations relative to implementation.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

  • Develops, manages and ensures execution of the strategy and communication for all projects within the area ofresponsibility. Works with internal departments sales, e-business, external vendors, and creative services to develop the concepts and designs for all related marketing efforts. Manages programs within the strategic goals of the department and company.
  • Develops the overall annual strategies for each area of responsibility to maximize the positive impact towards industry and corporate goals.
  • Ensures a cross-functional approach and all channels of the business are integrated into the marketing strategy where appropriate.
  • Partners with the sales and merchandising to create highly effective programs and materials which encompass the brand positioning for each industry.
  • Responsible for all direct mail activities across all segments of the business, including house file and prospecting strategy implementation.
  • Develops a common set of materials that can be used globally and serves as the baseline for multiple applications (catalog, marketing pages, internet language, etc.).
  • Develops, negotiates and manages key relationships internally and externally to include vendors, broker services, and printers.
  • Assists with the strategy and plan for customer and competitor research including the impact from legislative and environmental trends. Nature and Scope
  • Solutions require analysis and investigation.
  • Achieves planned results by decisions and actions based on professional methods, business principles and practical experience. May recommend/make decisions regarding new programs/initiatives that have significant impact to the business and carry consequences in unsuccessful endeavors.
  • Manages a larger team or multiple small teams through direction of subordinate management and/or supervisory staff. Work Environment
  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
  • Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time. Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be eighteen years of age
  • Must pass the Drug Test
  • Must pass the Background Check
  • Must pass pre-employment tests if applicable Education and Experience
  • Typically requires BS/BA in related discipline. Generally 7+ years experience in related field. May require certification. Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.
