Inventory Coordinator
Time Warner Cable currently seeks a Warehouse Inventory Coordinator to be located in Austin, TX.

Below please find a brief description of the essential duties and responsibilities required to function successfully in this position.

PURPOSE:
Responsible for planning, forecasting, coordinating and maintaining an accurate accounting of all assigned CPE and/or material. This includes all required reports, reconciliations, analysis, and fulfills any required BU and Regional data requests.

REPORTS TO:
Warehouse Manager – Central Texas Area

CROSS FUNCTIONALITY:
To maintain warehouse flexibility and productivity, this position may be required to perform some or all of the duties and responsibilities of the following positions:
*Warehouse Level I
*Warehouse Level II

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Day to day planning for CPE and/or material inventory, replenishment, receiving, ordering, forecasting and fully supporting tech/contractor issue.

• Supports warehouse team in achieving overall 6 plus turns, maintaining at least 98% cycle count accuracy with 98% plus fulfillment rate. Assist in coordination of material (including E&O) at both the BU and Regional level.

• Supports CPE team to achieve 100% CPE fulfillment rates and 100% count accuracy. Assist in maintaining CPE QA at highest levels.

• Keypunches all receiving records received in the PeopleSoft inventory system, maintains all corresponding files and researches any shipment variances.

• Reviews all material receipts in PeopleSoft for accuracy. Maintains all files of packing slips in accordance with Audit and Records Retention.

• Reviews PeopleSoft usage reports on all parts regularly to determine best min/max levels based on 6 turn inventory requirements.

• Reviews all MSR stock requests for proper authorization, part numbers, descriptions and unit of measures. Reports problems found with stock request to warehouse leadership team.

• Works with Purchasing Department on all outstanding receipts and open orders.

• Audits and resolves all material issue exceptions from the appropriate PeopleSoft report. All corrective action is required to be done in a timely manner.

• Processes, maintains and reconciles required daily/weekly/monthly inventory records and reports for all assigned warehouse locations. Maintains and reconciles applicable cycle counts. Assists in preparing and reconciling any required physical inventories.

• Assists in identifying any discrepancies in the daily equipment report and initiates investigative research.

• Inputs related CPE receiving records received in the PeopleSoft inventory system, maintains all corresponding files and researches any shipment variances.

• Audits and resolves all CPE issue exceptions from the appropriate CSG/SETS report. All corrective action is required to be done in a timely manner.

• Processes, maintains and reconciles required daily/weekly/monthly inventory records and reports for all assigned warehouse locations. Maintains and reconciles applicable CPE counts, assists in preparing and reconciling the monthly CPE physical inventories.

• Assists in identifying any discrepancies in the daily equipment report and initiates investigative research.

• Responsible for all Workbooks explanations following monthly CPE Audit and insuring that all data is entered correctly on the workbooks.

• Responsible for reviewing, maintaining and entering all CPE Transfers and following up with the DNCS on all transfers to insure that product is added to DNCS prior to use. Works with Regional Warehouse CPE Group.

• Must be able to travel to satellite “distribution” warehouse locations if needed.

• Maintains all files for daily/monthly reconciliations as well as working with Tech. Supervisors on all items “missing” in accordance with audit and records retention.

• Works with Tech. Operations Groups and Regional CPE/Accounting Group

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintains CPE production logs.

• Assists in coordinating daily tech CEP and material issue and the weekly CPE tech reconciliation, including contractors.

• May be required to generate ad-hoc CPE Reports at management’s request..

• Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILL SET:

• Must be proficient in data entry with background in PeopleSoft, Oracle, CSG, Windows, Excel, Word preferred.

• Must be able to quickly learn, comprehend, and become highly functional in other specialized databases such as Mintek/SETS and CHAT.

• Requires ability to work with management, employees, contractors and vendors.

• Requires ability to work flexible shifts and schedules.

• Must possess a valid driver’s license and safe driving record.

• Must be able to work in a fast paced high stress environment

• Proficient licensed forklift operator required

• Working knowledge of warehouse scanning equipment.

EDUCATION:

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

EXPERIENCE:

• Two years’ experience within the inventory control environment is preferred.

• Must be computer literate and possess intermediate skills in Microsoft Office software platforms.

• Minimum of one year’s hands-on experience with PeopleSoft preferred.

• Requires ability to express oneself in a clear, concise and organized manner both verbally and in writing.

• Requires ability to think through a problem, analyze and break it down into parts to resolve or come up with a logical solution.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Standing and sitting for long periods of time – frequent

• Lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling of materials up to 50 lbs. – occasional

• Kneeling and crouching – occasional

• Typing and reading on computer – frequent

• Communicating in person, by telephone and written correspondence – frequent

• Exposure to high levels of noise and/or forklift fumes from warehouse – occasional

HUMAN RELATIONS:

• Interacts with Warehouse, Regional Hub, IS, Cable Stores, Tech Ops, Finance and Purchasing departments. Also has contact with sub-contractors and occasionally vendors.

MATERIALS AND SPECIAL EQUIPMENT USED:

• Computer, printer, telephone, fax machine, copier, calculator, and bar code scanner and related equipment.
