Time Warner Cable currently seeks an Associate Onsite Engineer for our Content Operations team in Columbus, OH. Below please find a brief description of the essential duties and responsibilities required to function successfully in this position.
Essential Job Functions:
Installation, activation and maintenance of a Market Center Headend complex. Duties include installation and maintenance of transmission lines, TVRO systems, off-air antennas, EAS systems, CDN equipment, and other signal reception equipment. Applies code upgrades, and configures digital signal processing equipment. Works on assigned projects to ensure proper completion, with highest level of quality and timeliness, and within budget. Requires ‘on call’ or non-standard shift duties. Tracks equipment RMAs, and ensures that proper levels of spare inventory are maintained. Tests and validates all new hardware and connections for proper configuration and performance, using MPEG Analyzers, meters, probes, and other test equipment. Troubleshoots and repairs production systems, as required. Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:
Experience with digital video processing, IP routing, Linux based servers, and Transport and Communications are all preferred. Effective written and oral communications skills a must. Superior computer operating skills a must. Effective troubleshooting skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate ' s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or three months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities:
No Supervisory responsibilities with this position.
Travel Requirements:
Travel 5 to 10 %
