Join the team responsible for the localization of Hilton Worldwide Digital presence. We are looking for a motivated and innovative localization specialist to deliver high quality expertise in localization and globalization processes. The Senior Localization Analyst will be responsible for validating the quality of localization processes and assets, scheduling, coordinating and tracking localization efforts; this will include communicating risks and priorities in order to deliver on time and high quality localized products in over twenty-two (22) languages.

What will I be doing?

The Senior Localization Analyst will interact with a number of different teams and individuals, including but not limited to localization vendors, QAs, and regional teams to follow and validate day to day activities, having the top level project goals in sight at all times. The Team Member will work with Product teams to test features and services for local markets and uphold established quality standards. The Senior Localization Analyst will conduct Linguistic QA tasks, as well as monitor and resolve linguistic bugs as necessary.

  • Coordinate communication channels between the localization team, and the rest of the organization

  • Thrive on the interaction with the users of Digital, Marketing solutions and the teams allocated to fix and develop them

  • Must have an outstanding ability to elicit requirements and identify solutions for cross functional stakeholders

  • Assist in the mentoring and training of more junior members of the Content team

  • Represent linguistic and cultural nuances in cross-functional meetings

  • Coordinate with regional office representatives to ensure localization process and products are appropriate for their regions

  • Coordinate with external language service providers (LSPs) for the successful execution of localization projects, resolution of potential issues, and strategic allocation of resources

  • Responsible for risk assessment process and strategic planning of activities to minimize potential issues

  • Develop and maintain linguistic style guides, translation memories, and terminology databases

  • Collaborate with marketing project managers to plan localization projects by providing guidance with content development and ensuring success throughout every phase of the localization lifecycle

  • BA/BS Bachelors Degree in Translations, Localization, Business, Journalism or Linguistics

  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in Translations and Localization processes

  • A minimum of three (3) years of project management experience

  • A minimum of three (3) years of Web Content Management experience

  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience with Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

  • A minimum of three (3) years of professional experience

  • Excellent organizational and highly developed communication skills, with the ability to speak, write, and read fluent English and German,Korean or Dutch

  • Ability to localize a minimum of 2,000 words a day

  • Understand the differences in language between source markets (Canada vs. France vs. Belgium) and is able to adapt translated text accordingly

  • Cross-functional communication management skills and experience

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions\:

  • MA/MS Masters Degree

  • A minimum of five (5) years of professional experience

  • International experience or experience living in Latin America, Europe or Asia a plus

  • Previous interpreting experience and/or interpretation process management experience

  • Experience working with a leading web or enterprise CMS, HTML, CSS and code structure

  • Experience with Social Media Tools and Applications

  • Experience with SEO Writing and SEM

  • Excellent working knowledge of industry leading translations and localization technology (SDL Trados, Translations.com GlobalLink Suite of Products)

  • Vendor liaison experience

  • Advance Microsoft Excel skills (formula, pivot tables, macros, lookup tables, etc.)

  • Previous eCommerce experience

  • Native Speaker of German, Korean or Dutch
