CAD Designer

My client is a multi-discipline engineering firm that specializes in multi-family and commercial projects. Their Civil Engineering department has a backlog of work and are looking to add experienced Civil Drafters to join their team on a long-term basis.

1. Project Type- Industrial or Commercial Land Development projects in New Jersey
2: Growth- this position could evolve into a lead designer within 1-2 years.
3- Leadership- A majority of their Sr leadership has strong relationships throughout Central New Jersey and have a huge backlog of work.
4. Office Space- Commuter accessible, state of the art office and close proximity to shops and restaurants.
5. Autonomy- they have a hands off approach with management. Weekly meetings and progress updates, other than that they expect people to have ownership and meet deadlines.

- Plan and prepare preliminary layouts and detailed design drawings from engineering notes, sketches, and/or other drawings, ensuring they meet company and industry standards and codes

50% Designing and working with other engineers to meet deadlines.
35% Drafting, redline production
15% Client and internal weekly progress meetings

- Design and Draft the following using CAD Autodesk Autocad and Civil 3D : Land Development Plans - Zoning Plans -Concept Plans - Construction Documents - Commercial Plans
- Work closely with Designers, Drafters, and Engineers to ensure coordination design effort is maintained
- Complete drawing/project responsibilities within scope, budget and schedule; review drawings for completeness and accuracy
- Organize/maintain all revisions of project drawings, plot files and project-related information in a logical and well structures manner
